Personal data at BetWest, stage by stage
Effective 9 October 2026.
1. Who we are and what this notice covers
1.1 Our role
BetWest operates the casino and sportsbook site and decides why and how the personal data of its account holders is used. “We” in this notice means BetWest, and “you” means the holder of an account. The notice follows the life of an account in the order in which data arises.
1.2 Scope
This notice covers accounts held in pounds sterling by UK members, the site and its mobile browser version, and our contact with you by chat and email.
1.3 Contact for privacy matters
Write to [email protected] and state that the message concerns your data. We answer from the same address.
2. Data at sign-up
2.1 What the form collects
The form asks for a country and a currency, chosen from drop-down menus, and for the contact details needed to open and secure an account.
2.2 Age
We accept customers over 18 years of age only. Details given to establish age are used for that purpose and to apply the age rule.
2.3 Language setting
The language you pick in the selector is stored with the session so that the site opens in it again.
3. Data in the cashier
3.1 Payment details
When you deposit or withdraw we handle the method used, the amount in pounds, the time and the state of the payment. Card, wallet, bank and cryptocurrency details are used to carry out the payment you request.
3.2 Identity review
Before a first withdrawal we review identity. Documents you send are used for that review and for no other purpose.
3.3 Payment disputes
If a payment is queried, we use the cashier history and the messages about it to resolve the matter.
3.4 Cryptocurrency payments
For a payment in Bitcoin, Ethereum or another listed currency we handle the wallet address you supply and the transaction reference. The blockchain itself is public and outside our control.
4. Data from play and rewards
4.1 Play history
We record your spins, tables and bets so that balances, wagering progress and the results of tournaments and challenges can be calculated.
4.2 Rewards
Coins, completed challenges, Shop purchases, Wheel of Fortune results and your VIP level are held in the account, because they decide what you are offered.
4.3 Cookies and device data
The site uses cookies and similar technology to keep a session open, remember a language and protect the account. We do not describe here a cookie that the site does not set.
5. Communication with you
5.1 Chat and email
Messages to live chat and to support are kept with the account so that our team can follow a case without asking you twice.
5.2 Offers
Messages about offers are sent only to members who accepted them. A request to stop is made to our support team, and it takes effect for all later messages.
5.3 Service messages
Messages about a payment, a document or a change to your account are sent whether or not you accept offers.
5.4 Language of replies
We answer in the language of your message where our team can, and the reply keeps the reference of your message.
6. Legal bases for each stage
6.1 Contract
Sign-up data, cashier data and play data are used because we cannot run the account without them.
6.2 Legal duty
Identity documents and records of payments are used because the law requires us to check who holds an account and to keep certain records.
6.3 Our interests
Cashier history and messages are used to resolve a payment query and to protect the account, and you may object to a use that relies on our interests.
6.4 Consent
Offers by message are sent on your consent, and you may withdraw it at any time by writing to our support team.
7. Who receives data and where it goes
7.1 Payment providers
Payment providers receive what they need to complete a payment and to apply their own checks.
7.2 Game studios and tools
Game studios whose titles you play, and the tools that run chat and the site, receive the technical data they need to deliver their part.
7.3 Authorities
We disclose data to a public authority where the law requires it.
7.4 Transfers outside the United Kingdom
A provider may handle data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
7.5 What we do not do
We do not sell your data and we do not publish it on the site.
8. How long we keep data
8.1 While the account is open
Data is kept for as long as the account is open and needed to serve it.
8.2 After closure
After closure we keep the data the law requires us to keep and what we need to answer a claim.
8.3 Self-exclusion
A self-exclusion request is recorded, so that it is honoured. The player remains responsible for not opening another account.
8.4 Deletion and these duties
A request for deletion is met unless a duty to keep the data applies; we tell you which duty applies when we cannot delete.
9. Your rights
9.1 What you may ask
You may ask for access to your data, correction of data that is wrong, deletion, restriction of use, a copy in a portable form, and you may object to a use that relies on our interests.
9.2 How to ask
Write to [email protected] from the address on the account. We may ask for confirmation of identity before we release data.
9.3 Time to reply
We reply to a rights request without delay and within one month, the period set by UK data protection law. A reply names the data we have found and the action we have taken.
9.4 Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection authority.
10. Minors and changes
10.1 Under 18
The site is not meant for anyone under 18. Registration by a person under 18 is prohibited, and winnings of an underage player are cancelled; the data of such an account is used to apply that rule.
10.2 Changes
When we change this notice we publish the new text with a new effective date.
